Free Goats in Uganda

The district council with assistance from the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) is donating 700 goats to various Ugandan homesteads to promote income generation in an effort to fight poverty. The goat scheme covers 9 sub-counties and from 2 selected parishes, every homestead will be given 4 goats on rotational basis. They sensibly also advised recipients on care and maintenance of the goats such as feeding and treatment. There are plans to ensure that every homestead has an income generating activity for sustainability. Well done Uganda! Click here to read or post comments.
