Goat feeding habits

Some of you may not know this but Arab legend has it that an Ethiopian goatherd named Kaldi was the first to recognize the amazing powers of coffee back around the year 850 AD.

What he found was that when his goats browsed berries from what were then coffee trees, the goats become hyperactive and didn’t sleep at night. It wasn’t until around the year 1500 that they started brewing java in Saudi Arabia and it didn’t get into the Western world until the 1600s after the Dutch smuggled a coffee tree from Yemen to Holland.
