Based on inventory figures from the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics, the total Philippine goat population at January 2007 was around 4.04 million goats, which was an increase of around 8% over 2006 numbers of 3.74 million. The statistics show 38% were breeder does and 9% were breeder bucks.
