Here are some great bed-and-breakfast places in Texas and lots more to come
Hidden Oaks Bed and Breakfast - Houston
Hidden Oaks is a large plantation style home set on 1-1/2 acres in the city of Houston, built in 1927 by Samuel Ezekiel and Bessie Allen. Samuel was the great-grandson of Ezekiel Thomas who came to Texas from South Carolina in 1822. Ezekiel was a member of the "Old Three Hundred", the first 300 families to receive title to property in Texas from Stephan F. Austin. These families were viewed as an elite. Allen's parents, Samuel Ezekiel Allen and Rosa Christie Lum, were among the most prominent Texas ranchers in the early 1900's. Their cattle ranch expanded to a 13,000 acre operation. Our property was part of that ranch. Hidden Oaks offers you the opportunity to experience the old southern atmosphere within a modern bustling city. Great Texas-bed-breakfast

Sycamore Heights - Houston
Sycamore Heights was built circa 1905 in the heart of what is now the historic Houston Heights neighborhood. The latest renovation was completed in 2003. The inn provides the perfect setting for an intimate weekend getaway or as a venue for major social events. Though guests at Sycamore Heights feel like they're in a private and peaceful enclave, the inn is actually close to Houston's energetic downtown area, eclectic shopping district and vibrant entertainment center. The two suites in the main house reflect a cozy turn of the century atmosphere. The carriage house has more of a 1940's appearance. Each of the rooms includes queen size beds and comfortable seating.
